On april 2019, Cadaver Eyes (Eran Sachs and David Oppenheim) were supposed to give a show at a bar called Analulu, a properly equipped venue for the roaring intense sounds of the duo. For reasons which remain unknown the event had to be cancelled and a last minute solution was found in the form of a restaurant across the street, "Samila The Kitchen" - a restaurant which does not have a grand speaker system, and no wish to host the blasting set up of David's drum kit and singing-yelling, and Eran's no-input mixer system. the duo then called upon string phenomena Adam Scheflan in order to form the then-imagined soft version of Cadaver Eyes - Cadaver Eyes Upon Me See.
When you talk with Eran and David about Cadaver Eyes they both describe, each in his own way, the attempt of giving way for intense human energy to flow. Cadaver Eyes are full throttle, purging any inner blockage by force and volume, holy rhythms and sonic precision.
This philosophy and it's energy stay in their rightful place with Cadaver Eyes Upon Me See, but here the energy is directed inwards instead of outwards - the violence, tension and intensity stay within each of the performers and we the listeners only get what sounds somehow escape the trio's tight grip of themselfs, pushing a ridiculous amount of energy inside without letting it go free into sonic mayhem.
The trio plays soft music, soft enough that David's singing may be acoustic when he chooses it to be, soft enough that when they play a restaurant, you'll hear glasses and silver ware, people coming and going and sometimes talking, too, but tension seems to tare this restaurant apart, no matter how soft they play.
This recording captures the second time Cadaver Eyes Upon Me See has ever played together. an exciting document of a group which turns any place they play in into their own magical wondrous sonic happening, easily devouring a venues character and replacing it with their own interweaving energy, and by that taking any present individual and the venue itself slightly, or not slightly, out of reality.
